No one wants to have an extraction, and Dr Chiasson Dentistry, we do our best to save your natural teeth because we know that it’s the best way to support your dental health. Occasionally, we must remove a tooth because it is severely decayed or infected, or because of overcrowding. When possible, we remove those teeth in our dental office without the need for a referral.

Dr. Chiasson starts by planning ahead, whenever possible. If you know you need an extraction, he will discuss all of your tooth replacement options with you prior to your extraction so that we can have a plan before removing your tooth. From bridges to dental implants to dentures, we offer a wide variety of tooth replacement options for every lifestyle. Each treatment has its benefits, and Dr. Chiasson will go over each option in detail so you can make an educated decision.
When a Referral Becomes Necessary
We can perform most dental extractions right in our office, as well, unless it is an extremely complex procedure where an oral surgeon may make more sense. If we ever need to refer you for treatment to another office, we will send you to someone we trust where you will receive the same great care you would get here at our office. We will maintain contact with your oral surgeon so that we can provide seamless care.
